Helen Bodycomb Mosaics (HBM) is a leading Australian team of highly skilled and experienced glass mosaicists, dedicated to the design and construction of high quality, professional mosaic artworks for corporate, public, private and domestic applications.

Mosaics enhance any design and can be used on floors, walls, stairs, exteriors, interiors and be integrated with water, light and other elemental forms.

Mosaic has an ancient history, yet the use of mosaic in Australian Design is extremely recent. The beauty, flexibility, durability and impact of mosaic is now being realised by a new generation of Australian Designers.

HBM offers consultancy to assist design professionals and their clients with concerns relating to:

• Classic and contemporary design of mosaic
• Thematic research
• Technical application of mosaic
• Site-specific considerations
• The development and application of mosaics throughout history

HBM can be integrated with a larger design team and be commissioned to design and construct stand-alone projects.

Having worked in Italy with the great Italian tile firm Bisazza, the Artistic Director of HBM is excited to introduce innovative mosaic practices to the Australian Design Industry.

With a 14 year history in the art and design field, the last 10 years specialising in commissioned architectural scale mosaic and sculptural artworks, the experience of the HBM team is extensive. Past projects include major public art works at Bondi and Homebush – NSW and a wide range of public and private works in Victoria.

HBM operates on the belief that the term 'mosaic' pertains to the creation of 3-dimensional artworks built through the assemblage of their components. Mosaics can be permanent or ephemeral. The components from which they can be made include mosaic glass, marble, stone, ceramic, brick, laminex, timber laminate, steel, acrylic, mdf and wood.
