INTERMEDIATE MOSAIC CLASSES WITH HELEN BODYCOMB

Helen Bodycomb is one of Australia’s foremost teachers and contemporary practitioners of Mosaic. She has post graduate qualifications in fine art and has undertaken mosaic training in both Australia and Italy (at the world renowned Scuola di Mosaicisti del Friuli). Helen has been a full time Mosaicist for 12 years and is regarded as an authority on the contemporary application of this exciting and ancient medium.

Following the popularity and success of the three technique based workshops conducted in 2005, Helen will offer four short courses in 2006.  These will be held in early to mid 2006 before Helen commences an Artist-In-Residency at Rimbun Dahan, Malaysia in late 2006. The courses will be conducted at the Helen Bodycomb Mosaics (HBM) studio in Northcote, Melbourne.

The HBM studio is spacious and well equipped. It is easily accessible by car and by public transport and is located about 10 minutes from the Melbourne CBD.

Class numbers will be strictly limited to only 8 per class. Please note that classes filled quickly last year, so if you don’t want to miss out, don’t leave it too long to register your interest.

To be sent an enrolment form and further information please emal  Anna Kleskovic.

The direct lay onto fibreglass mesh method uses a flexible adhesive, allowing for off-site construction of mosaics of any scale to be undertaken easily. Seamless joints and allowance for use of mixed media, resulting in a textured, un-grouted surface are just some of the benefits.
